HatchWorks Commemorates Juneteenth for Third Consecutive Year

HatchWorks is thrilled that the US Senate passed a resolution establishing June 19, or Juneteenth, as a federal holiday. The Juneteenth National Independence Day Act grants federal employees a day off to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

This will be HatchWorks’ third year to commemorate the day of remembrance. In 2020, the company became part of a growing number of corporations across the country to provide time off to employees to honor Juneteenth.

“As a company that believes in the combined strength of diverse and inclusive teams, it is important that we recognize and hold space for milestones of major significance to the history of our country,” said Brandon Powell, CEO of HatchWorks. “Our employees across the US and Latin America represent an incredibly wide array of experiences and perspectives, and we feel that makes us and our work better. We are proud to recognize Juneteenth in 2022, as well as for years to come.”

Headquartered in Atlanta and with offices in Chicago, Costa Rica, Peru, and Colombia, HatchWorks employs highly skilled onshore and nearshore experts across a range of software development and cloud adoption specialties. The company also has a strong philanthropic focus, with charitable giving and volunteering programs aimed at positively affecting communities in Atlanta, Chicago, and San Jose, Costa Rica.
