Capital Choice Financial Group was founded in 1995 by the Kinnard family. Their mission is to improve the financial wellbeing of hard-working Americans. The company sells life insurance and annuity products through an extensive network of sales associates across the country. Above and beyond sales, the company's associates coach their customers through financial wellbeing tactics and help them realize the vision of what is possible. The company found itself at a crossroads: its growth necessitated advancements and improvements to legacy processes. The time for modernization arrived quickly and leadership knew that it was time to improve the quoting of products that were heavily dependent on training, experience, and paper. Capital Choice approached HatchWorks with an idea for a new mobile-first system that would help associates quote products and enhance the overall customer experience.

HatchWorks met with Capital Choice to understand its business model, to include its product suite, organizational structure and technological landscape. Any software development firm can execute; HatchWorks differentiates itself by taking the time to understand the company's mission, strategic objectives, its employees and customers. With this comprehensive understanding, HatchWorks was armed with the information it needed to recommend a solution. Where initially Capital Choice felt like it needed a mobile app, the HatchWorks team felt that the solution could be much more dynamic and empower Capital Choice to more quickly onboard new sales associates, make them productive faster, and sell more and more relevant financial services products to its customers.
HatchWorks facilitated a series of stakeholder workshops to understand the current landcape and to begin ideating the new platform. By rapidly prototyping concepts live, with stakeholders in the room, HatchWorks was able to very quickly capture, challenge and validate their requirements. This formed an unambiguous blueprint from which HatchWorks' developers could build the product. Rapid prototyping kept the stakeholders engaged and allowed Capital Choice to demonstrate progress to its 600+ sales associates eager for the new platform.
HatchWorks built a responsive application called MyCapitalChoice. It is responsive across all devices, giving Capital Choice sales associates the flexibility to work from anywhere on any device: desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. They can meet, engage and serve their customers anywhere. HatchWorks has received firsthand reports from users who have been able to sell products from anywhere - even while meeting folks at trivia night in a restaurant! The application is comprised of a client profile builder, integration with a well-renown financial services CRM, numerous insightful financial modeling calculators, and real-time insurance quoting tools that expedite the sales cycle associated with insurance policies from Ameritas and TransAmerica.
MyCapitalChoice is built with scalability in mind so that additional functions can be added to the platform quickly and easily. Further, the platform is hosted in Amazon Web Services which is cost effective, promotes reliability, and security. Capital Choice had the vision and HatchWorks was privileged to be a part of transitioning the vision to reality.
