PeopleScout is one of the world's largest RPOs (recruitment process outsourcer). PeopleScout facilitates recruiting activities for some of the most recognized brands in the world including Delta Airlines, Marriott, and SunTrust Banks. To-date, PeopleScout has used a multitude of software / systems to facilitate these activities. In all cases, their clients require PeopleScout to use their applicant tracking system (ATS) to track individuals who apply for jobs. PeopleScout knew it could do better and significantly up its game in terms of technology. They engaged HatchWorks to conduct discovery of what was possible and to build a new, comprehensive recruiting platform.

Elevating ideas

HatchWorks partnered with PeopleScout to understand its business model and long-term goals in terms of people, processes and technology. HatchWorks conducted an extensive discovery period of best-in-class recruiting technology products. HatchWorks went about the task of architecting a next-generation integrated solution to connect 30+ client applicant tracking systems (ATS) with a custom, e-commerce-like career search experience. This platform enables PeopleScout to offer a comprehensive recruiting solution that includes advanced analytics and robotic process automation.

Stability and scalability

HatchWorks leveraged cutting-edge technologies to create an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud application that is modern, scalable, and secure. HatchWorks leveraged Rapid Prototyping to create a realistic depiction of the product that PeopleScout could use to validate requirements and provide the development team with a blueprint from which to build. Further, PeopleScout used the prototype to help train its employees on the new platform before the code was even finished - a huge benefit to the business. Delivered in an Agile manner, the product was deployed and HatchWorks provided the program management skills necessary to orchestrate numerous internal and external (to PeopleScout) stakeholder groups.
